Ms. Joan McLachlan, Consultant

Ms. McLachlan holds an M.S. in Special Education from Hunter College, an M.L.S. from Pratt Institute and is certified in School and School District Administration. As a consultant to MAGI she provides Internet and other research services in the areas of promising and exemplary educational practices, current educational issues, and special projects. In addition to serving as a consultant to the New York State Education Department's Sharing Success Technical Assistance Center assisting Developer/ Demonstrators in developing training and awareness materials, and marketing and dissemination plans, Ms. McLachlan has recently served as Project Director for the College Board - Florida Partnership Pacesetter/ FCAT evaluation project and the New York State Education Department's Career Plan Evaluation. Ms McLachlan has broad experience directing both national and statewide exemplary dissemination and replication projects which include conducting national replication trainings in internship program development, presenting at national conferences, directing a team of trainers, and developing extensive training materials.
