Dr. Tina Goodwin-Segal,
Senior Research Associate
Dr. Goodwin-Segal holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum
and Instruction from the University at Albany, State University of New York. Dr.
Goodwin-Segal specializes in program evaluation and evidence based research in
education. Prior to joining MAGI, she taught research design and evidence based
practice in Physical Therapy at The Sage Colleges, Health and Rehabilitation
Sciences Division. Dr. Goodwin-Segal has worked for the Research Foundation at
the State University of New York at Albany (SUNYA) where she served as Project
Director on an array of state and federally funded projects to evaluate
development of K-12 curriculum and instructional strategies. She has conducted
evaluations on a broad range of programs including technology integration in
educational and health care settings, international programs to develop
comparative civic education, and professional development programs for Pre-K-12
teachers. In addition Dr. Goodwin-Segal was the senior researcher on the NYSED
special education program Study One: Quality Performance Indicators of Positive
Results for Preschool Students with Disabilities. She is an active member of
both the American Evaluation Association (AEA) and the American Educational
Research Association (AERA).
